Yes. We currently have openings in our infant, toddler and preschool rooms. Availability changes quickly, so the best way to secure a spot is to book a tour or call us at (416) 622-7529. We’ll confirm current openings for your child’s age and start date.

Start by booking a tour so you can see our rooms and meet our educators. After your visit, we’ll confirm your start date and send you our online registration form. Not ready for a tour yet? You can join our waitlist online at any time, and we’ll contact you when a spot opens for your start date.

As soon as you know you’ll need care. Because we have spots open now, families who tour can usually talk about start dates right away. Bringing your child along is ideal: it helps you see the space, meet our staff and make sure our environment is the right fit.

For the health and safety of all our children, we ask that children who have a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea remain at home until they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours. If we contact you during the day about your sick child, please arrange to pick them up as soon as possible so they can rest at home with you.

At Sunshine Kids, our curriculum is inspired by the principles outlined in How Does Learning Happen?—a framework for early childhood education in Ontario. This approach emphasizes the importance of building relationships and supporting each child’s growth across all developmental areas, including emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. We also encourage learning through exploration, where children’s natural curiosity leads their journey. Our educators are trained to observe each child's progress and adapt learning experiences that are meaningful and engaging. By fostering an environment that values each child’s voice and interests, we create a dynamic, individualized curriculum that supports their ongoing development and prepares them for future learning.

At Sunshine Kids, we prioritize in-person communication at drop-off and pick-up times to stay connected with parents and caregivers. In addition, we use the HiMama app to share daily updates, including photos, videos, and a record of your child’s activities. This allows parents to stay informed throughout the day and to stay involved in their child’s learning and growth. Families can also reach out via email or our parent portal for any updates or questions, and we host events throughout the year to strengthen the partnership between our daycare and families.
